High Purity Chemicals Market Outlook:

High purity chemicals are used extensively in many end user industries. In the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cosmetics and chemicals industry, there is a growing need for High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) solvent. Acetonitrile and Methanol HPLC solvents are purified with advanced technologies which are free from UV absorbing impurities. Another important high purity chemical are dry-etching gases. These gases have high demand in ultrafine fabrication for LSI devices and other IC products in the semiconductor industry. High purity aqueous ammonium is used to clean silicon wafers in the semiconductor devices. It is purified up to the extent that it does not contain any traces of metal ion particles.

High Purity Chemicals Market report comprises of pricing analysis for different types of high purity chemicals. The price is expected to range from $200 to $13,000 per one kilogram of high purity chemical.

High Purity Chemicals Market Growth Drivers: High Purity Chemicals are extensively used in the production and cleaning of semiconductors. Semiconductors will not work as expected if it contains an impurity stuck while cleaning it. Semiconductor industry is growing at an exponential rate. This significant growth in the semiconductor industry is considered to be one of the factors boosting the global High Purity Chemicals Market.

High Purity Chemicals Market Challenges: One of the major challenges in the global High Purity Chemicals Market is the production process and storage of high purity chemicals. The production process of these chemicals should be in a closed and sterile environment and should be monitored properly from time to time. This will not only require lot of capital but also man power while storing and transporting these high purity chemicals.

High Purity Chemicals Market Trends:

Scientists from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Hyderabad, India have published a report on direct determination of impurities in high purity chemicals like such as ammonium hydroxide, hydrogen peroxide and sulfuric acid by Electrolyte Cathode Discharge Atomic Emission Spectrometry (ELCAD-AES). ELCAD-AES method can be used as an alternative analytical rapid and direct analysis technique to check the levels of metallic impurities and quality of these high pure chemicals in various industries.

Researchers from Suranaree University of Technology, Thailand have formulated a new method for the production of very high purity succinic acid from fermentation broth using microfiltration and Nano filtration which are assisted with crystallization. Nan filteration has will also helpful in the separation of organic acids from proteins and other macromolecules. The integration of these membrane based processes and cooling crystallization directly produced the ultra-high purity succinic acid crystal from fermentation broth without the need for any auxiliary component.

December 4, 2017: Sumitomo Chemical, a major japanese high purity chemicals producing company  is expanding its production capacity for high purity chemicals for semiconductors at Sumika Electronic Materials Co Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary in Xi'an City, China. This facility is scheduled to start commercial scale production by early 2019.

March 7, 2018: Sun Chemical and its parent company, DIC Corporation has acquired the high purity iron oxides business of Cathay Industries, Valparaiso, USA.

December 19, 2017: AkzoNobel’s Specialty Chemicals business is planning to expand the production of high purity vacuum salt at its Delfzijl site in the Netherlands. This project is expected to increase output at the facility by around 25%.
